What if it were possible for people to kill other people, invisibly, using telepathy, and the people who are being murdered telepathically, who don't have the capability to kill using telepathy, can't use non-telepathic weapons, since written law doesn't acknowledge the existence of telepathic murder? Wouldn't it be really stupid for the people who are being murdered this way to keep the secret that most of the human species can kill telepathically? Why do you think that one of the symptoms of schizophrenia is believing that you're getting telepathic messages? The next time you think you're experiencing "astral projection," that is, an "out-of-body experience," ask yourself what is more likely, that your spirit is leaving your body, or that someone who wants you to believe that there is an afterlife is messing with your head telepathically.
