The System allows the monkeys to torture, rape, and murder fully conscious people to keep the monkeys happy until their new (smaller) cages are ready.

Sincerity

If the monkeys insist on tagging along with us, we must at least tell them that they're not welcome!

Distractions

We are at war! Playing kissy-face is not going to save our lives! Having sex isn't something you should be doing when you really want to be hitting something! And it's one of the ways that the monsters/monkeys force themselves (and their poison) on us.
