The only way to say something nice about Adolf Hitler is to pretend that you aren't

This quote from his ENT specialist: "The phenomenon called Adolf Hitler, who regarded himself as elected by Providence as the chief exponent of the Twentieth Century, is no more. We survivors who knew him have a duty to do what we can by our objectivity and judgment to ensure that no false aura arises around his life and death, and that he does not live on in the mind of the German people as some kind of martyr, a man who could have gladdened our lives and liberated us, 'if only the others had so desired and decreed.'"

Someone really needs to do something about those "others!"
