Subtext

When we were kids hearing the story of how a wonderful and compassionate man named Jesus "sacrificed" his life to save everyone's soul forever, were any of you guys told that the people he "sacrificed" his life for were a bunch of vicious, greedy, depraved, and stupid monsters who, after being "cleansed" of their sins by Jesus, went right out and sinned some more so they could be "cleansed" again? And that these monsters actually expected Jesus to die for them, and probably had ways to "persuade" Him to go through with the crucifixion if He showed any signs of coming to His senses and telling them to "take this cross and shove it?" The stuff that Jesus used to "cleanse" the monsters of their sins is called "grace." You get it by making eye contact with people who are able to transmit human bioelectrical energy through eye contact, and it's really good stuff if the person who's giving it doesn't know that the monsters they're giving it to believe that anyone with grace is public property and is obligated to entertain the public at the cost of his or her own freedom, happiness, safety, and life. What a waste.
